Holy Other is back with the EP "With U" which you can listen to in its entirety here and even download some of the tracks for free. His sound is usually described as witch-house but could more appropriately be described as syrupy ghost-hop (term affectionately coined by Red Cup). Holy Other uses pitched-down vocals to an unsettling effect and like many of his peers borrows heavily from the sounds of chopped and screwed hip-hop. However, where Holy Other stands out is in the relatively high production quality and the sheer catchiness of the tunes. Don't be suprised of you find yourself mimmicking in song the barely audible words to the track "Your Touch" in a ridiculous slow motion voice.
The EP features 3 brand new tracks and 2 older songs which have appeared previously either as free mp3 downloads or as a 7" vinyl only release. "With U EP" will officially be released on June 7th on TriAngle. You can preorder it here.
